Prioritizing Your Marriage
For a marriage to be healthy, it needs be our top priority, second only to our relationship with God. Children, work, technology, housework, and social activities can creep into our marriages so that we have little left to give our spouse. It’s easy to allow other things to take priority and when they do, not only is the marriage affected, but usually many other areas of life are as well. During this session, we will discuss how to keep marriage a priority in the midst of the busyness of life.
May 2020 Tune-Up
The Forgiving Spouse
Grace. Mercy. Forgiveness. We associate these things with God, but how do they show up in your marriage? When two imperfect people come together in marriage, they are going to offend each other at some point. If grace, mercy, and forgiveness are not a regular part of the marriage relationship, there is an undercurrent that causes division and is at the root of many divorces. During this session, we will discuss how grace, mercy, and forgiveness can be integrated into marriage to keep it healthy.

For a marriage to be healthy, it’s important for couples to connect with each other on many levels. During this session, we will discuss the various aspects of intimacy – emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and, yes, physical. We will share content from The Naked Marriage
by Dave and Ashley Willis (as well as other sources) to help couples understand how they can connect with each other deeply.

What's Underneath Conflict?
Conflict in marriage is inevitable. It’s not how much a couple fights, but how they fight that matters. One thing that helps improve how they fight is a better understanding of what’s underneath conflict. During this session we will share and discuss motivations and behaviors when things are going well and how they shift during conflict. We will use a tool to help individuals identify their motivations and behaviors, then compare them with their spouse’s. They will explore how recognizing the differences can help them have healthier conflict.
