Guiding Scriptures

Several Scripture verses serve as the foundation of the work being done through Reclaiming Wholeness, including (emphasis added in bold):

Jesus said: The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it [life] more abundantly. John 10:10 (NKJV)

Jesus Said: For the Son of Man [Jesus] has come to save that which was lost. Matthew 18:11 (NKJV)

When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? (KJV) or When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”  (NKJV)
John 5:6

Jesus said: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33 (NIV)

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)

Jesus said: And these things will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.  Mark 16:17,18 (NIV)

Jesus said: And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask for anything in my name, and I will do it. John 14:13,14 (NIV)

For everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well…for everyone born of God overcomes the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. 1 John 5:1, 4, 5 (NIV)
